Workshop housing - the documentation

Yes - you had to wait long for the documentation - flashy pictures, outcomes, lectures and all the other things. We will start to build up the documentation now and hope to present it to you within the next two weeks. Inbetween we are busy with collecting articles, artefacts and workshop outcomes of the participants and will orderly publish them one by one.
The first items are going online at this moment. Check out the game 'Chcem byt v dome', which is dealing with precarious groups, abandoned places and cheap renovation methods in the form of a game.

Until we have the rest online, stay tuned!

Chcem byť v dome

Chcem byť v dome
(I want to be in the house)

Chcem byť v dome/ I want to be in the house
That was the slogan of one Slovak 'Big Brother' style reality show. An extravagant millionaire couple invited a group of chosen people to live for a short time in their decadent villa in the focus of TV cameras. The last person whose manners pleased the millionaire couple and the audience the most got two million crowns to start his own new millionaire's life.
Like in the TV show, which is clearly a show but in a sense a game, we took the question of occupying/taking a house – a living space - as a game. But we kept always in mind, that it might be for some people an actual bitter reality. Our main interest was, how to unite different groups of people with different needs and realities in one place that, on top of it, is a constantly precarious space. An old, open, half run-down and abandoned house. How do these people have to deal with each other and their environment to 'be in the house'?

crisis_mania – Kultúra bývania

29.- 30. január 2010
Začiatok prezentácií a diskusí: piatok 29. január, 18.00
Workshop: 30. a 31. január (celý deň)

Kde: Plan C, Cvernovka, Páričkova 18, Bratislava

COL-ME pozýva na Kultúru bývania, diskusiu a workshop mapujúci podoby a premeny bývania v Bratislave pod vplyvom ekonomickej krízy.

Charakter workshopov chceme ponechať otvorený a rozvíjať v nich obsah prezentovaný v piatok večer.
